Cara Mamma was directed by Portuguese visual artist Rute Duarte on location in Pisa Italy. The film went on to be screened at; Festival del Cinema di Cefalù in Palermo, Italy, Shortcutz Lisboa, Portugal and the First-Time Filmmakers Showcase with the Lift-off Global Network, held at Pinewood Studios in England.
